line: draw the racing line through a famous corner
Draw the racing line through a famous corner. A car drives it and you’re scored on the time.
Draw the racing line through a famous corner.
A car drives your line and is timed against the ideal one.
How to play
A famous corner from above. Draw your line from the start to the flag. A car drives exactly that, and another drives the ideal line. The closer your time to its, the higher the score.
The car has grip that grows with speed, brakes, and an engine that runs out of pull near top speed. It can't brake and turn flat out at once, so the usual racing rules apply: wide in, late apex, wide out. Every wobble costs time.
Easy: apexes and braking points marked, barriers, 12 s. Hard: just the road, 8 s, and four wheels off deletes the lap. Brutal: 2.5 s to look, then 7 s to draw it from memory.
Scoring
grip = μ·(g + a·v²) lateral: v²·κ ≤ grip x = (t − t*) / √(1.6·(t₀ − t*)) t* ideal, t₀ middle of the road score = 10·e^(−(x/1.36)^1.3)
Daily challenge
Five corners, the same for everyone today, on Hard. One attempt.
